Promotion Foundation of Turkey (TUTAV) is a non-governmental organization founded to promote Turkey's historical, arkeological, social and cultural values in different countries of the world.
Since 1982, despite its limited resources, TUTAV has realised lots of Turkish Cuisine and Culture Festivals in 5 different continents and over 30 countries around the world to introduce Turkish Culture.
TUTAV's activities consist of original Turkish Music by the Mehter Shoe (military band), Modern Turkish Folkloric Dances, Belly Dances, Mystical Sema Dances and a short Fashion Show with traditional clothes in the Ottoman and modern style.
TUTAV's Culture and Show group is mainly composed of traditional folkloric dancers, musicians, soloists, belly dancers, Semah and Sema Dances (Whirling Dervishes), chefs, various handicraft artists and managers that add up to a total of 34 members.
TUTAV realizes its facilities as a result of personal efforts and with the Tourism Establishments in the foreign countries, accomodation and food services are provided by that establishments.

With members from high level bureaucrats in the public sector, and many businessman, journalists, and authors from the private sector, TUTAV has a total of 460 members. |

The founder served as the undersecratary of the Tourism Ministry between the years 1979-1983. He was the initiator founder of TUTAV in 1982 and since than has been serving as the chairman of the board of directors of the foundation.
Mr. BAYTAS is also the president of the Turkey Russia Federation, Turkic Republics Friendship Association, and Turkey China Public Friendship Association. He also serves as the president of the Kemal BAYTAS Culture and Art Charitable Foundadtion (KEBASAV) named after himself. He is the Chairman of the Board of Directors of TURTAV INC. which was founded by TUTAV and Tourism Ministry TURAS.
The founder Kemal BAYTAS has many published articles about tourism and also is a syndicated columnist. Kemal BAYTAS is also the author of the book The bureaucrat and The Father Government. Due to his attributes to the effoerts to introduce Turkey, and the Turkish culture around the world, BAYTAS was given the title of an honorary doctorate by Gazi University. |
